2 cups bran
1 cup flour
½ tsp salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
½ cup molasses
1 ½ cup milk
1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in 1 tbsp warm water
½ cup raisins or dates

Directions:
Directions:
Stir bran, flour, salt together.
Add molasses to egg, then milk.
Combine dry with liquid, then soda/water to mix in.
Stir raisins in. Let stand a few minutes before baking.
400 degrees for 15-17 minutes.

Makes 15 medium muffins or 12 large.
