Mama's Pea Soup with Flanken Recipe

2 carrots diced
1 onion diced
3 strips of flanken, cut into bite size pieces
1 package manischevitz pea soup
garlic salt
herbs provincial

Add carrots, onion, flanken and peas to pot with water directed by soup package plus 3.4 c. Season with sprinkle of garlic salt, sage and herbs. Cook til the meat is tender and the peas are mostly dissolved. Add packet that comes with soup mix, cook 10 min more. Use a hand whipper or remove meat and blend soup in blender, add meat again and serve with fresh onion rolls or challah for dipping,
