3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
2 cups unsifted flour
1/4 t salt (omit if use salted butter)
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter & sugar. Add egg & vanilla. Then add sifted dry ingredients & nuts. Mix and then work together with hands. Batter will be stiff. Roll in 4 long rolls & wrap with wax paper. Freeze. Cut when ready to bake. Bake @ 325 for 12-15 minutes.
