Pier 4 restaurant in Boston always has a brown crock of this spread and a assortment of crackers on the table. I was delighted when Grandma Cox found this recipe. Robert and Jon always referred to it as "Favorite Cheese."
¼ c. cream cheese
1/4c. butter
2 lbs. Wispride cheddar cheese
1 tsp. each Worcestershire and horseradish
2 tsp. sherry

Directions:
Use a mixer and blend cream cheese and butter. While the mixer is running, add the cheddar cheese in small amounts until all is blended. Add rest of ingredients and continue to blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Refrigerate until 1 hour before ready to serve. Serve at room temperature.
