1 lb. hamburg

1 small onion

½ c. parsley

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. allspice

¼ tsp. each pepper and cinnamon

1 T. coriander ( coozibra )
Optional:

Pine nuts
1 slice of bread that has been soaked in water can also be put in Cuisinart with onion and seasonings.
1 15 oz. can Hunts tomato sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Put all ingredients except the hamburg in a processor and chop coarsely. Put in a bowl, add meat and mix. Roll into meatballs about 2 inches in diameter. Keep a bowl of ice water handy. Dip hands in water occasionally. This helps to keep the meat from sticking to your hands. The meatballs can be stuffed with a few pine nuts (snobur).

Form individual long cylinder shapes around skewers. Broil in oven or over a grill. Serve with Syrian bread and lubin.

(Meatballs with Potatoes)

Place meatballs in a deep baking pan with cubed potatoes and small onions. In a bowl, mix a 15 ounce can of tomato sauce with ½ tsp, each salt, allspice, and coozibra, and ¼ tsp. each pepper and cinnamon. Pour on top of meatballs, potatoes and onion. Bake at 375˚ or 30 minutes.
