1 package (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate bits
3 Tbsp. corn syrup
1/2 C. strong coffee
1 package (8 oz.) chocolate wafers, crushed
1 C. chopped nuts
1/2 C. confectioner’s sugar
1/2 C. chopped candied red cherries
Granulated Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Gently melt chocolate in a double boiler over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in syrup and coffee, cool to room temperature. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix wafers, nuts, confectioner's sugar and cherries. Add the chocolate mixture and stir to blend. Let stand for 30 minutes. Shape into balls with fingers. Roll in granulated sugar then refrigerate, covered, until ready for gift- giving. Makes 2 - 1/2 dozen cookies.
