1 lb. Sausage
6 cups Bread, cubed
10 Eggs
3 cups Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
2 large Granny Smith Apples, diced
2 Tbs Sugar
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
2 cups Cheddar, shredded (divided)
Maple Syrup

Directions:

Brown sausage and break into crumbles. Drain.

In large bowl, mix apples, sugar and cinnamon.

In greased 13 x 9 pan, place 1/2 of bread, 1/2 of sausage, 1/2 of apples and 1/2 of cheese. Repeat layers.

Mix egg, milk, vanilla. Pour over casserole. Refrigerate overnight.

Next day: Preheat oven to 325 and bake 55-60 minutes. Serve with maple syrup.

Make the night before. This makes A LOT, so you may want to halve the recipe and bake in a 8- or 9- inch square pan.
