4 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ cup sugar
1 ½ cups Raisins
2 cups Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease and flour cookie sheet. Sift flour, soda, salt, and sugar together in a large bowl. Stir in raisins. Push flour mixture to sides of bowl, making a well in the center of the bowl. Pour in buttermilk all at once and mix with wooden spoon, just until mixed. Knead once or twice, forming a ball. Place dough on pan and flatten slightly. Cut a cross in top of dough about 1/2 inch deep. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Serve with real butter and tea!
