Cookies:
2 sq. (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
Frosting:
1/2 sq. (1/4 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 T. butter
powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

For cookies: Melt chocolate and butter together. add remaining ingredients, mixing well after each one. Drop by tablespoon onto medium hot waffle iron. bake for 2 minutes with lid down. Remove with a fork and let cool. Frost!
For Frosting: Place chocolate, water, brown sugar and butter in 2 quart pot, boil on stovetop for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Slowly add powdered sugar beating until spreading consistency. Add vanilla and mix well. Spread on cooled cookies.
