2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
1 3/4 cups sugar
6 egg yokes
1 1/8 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Line 2, 9" cake pans with parchment paper.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt...and sift 3 more times. Cream butter, add sugar. Beat until fluffy. Add yokes one at a time eating thoroughly with each addition.
Add dry ingredients alternately to creamed mixture with milk.
Bake 20-25 minutes. Cool on wire racks then frost with your favorite frosting.
