1 can Whole Water Chestnuts
1 lb. Bacon, thick cut
3 TBsp Soy Sauce
1 TBsp Brown Sugar, divided (or Splenda Brown Sugar)

Directions:
Preheat Oven to 375º

1. Whisk together soy sauce and 1 TBsp brown sugar as a marinade.

2. Rinse off water chestnuts and cut in half. Place in marinade, toss to coat and let sit for 10 minutes.

3. Cut bacon strips into 1/3. Wrap each water chestnut half in bacon. Use toothpick to hold together.

4. Line edged baking sheet with foil. Place each piece onto sheet. Sprinkle top of each piece with 1 TBsp brown sugar.

5. Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.

To keep warm until serve: when done baking, turn oven temp down to 175º or 200º and leave in. Serve warm.
