2 quarts apple cider
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
6 whole cloves
6 stick cinnamon (or 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon)
1 sweet orange, thinly sliced & unpeeled
2 thin slices lemon

*Packaged mulling spices may be substituted for all spices, orange and lemon.

Wrap everything except cider in cheesecloth. Pour cider in large boiler,coffee urn, or slow cooker. Add spices in the cheesecloth. Heat at low temperature for about 3 hours. Remove cheesecloth and discard. Serve hot.
