12 CATELLI® Lasagne Noodles
1 jar (700 mL) Pasta Sauce
1 each: onion and garlic clove, chopped
2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
1-1/3 lb (650 g) extra lean ground beef or pork
1/4 cup (50 mL) chopped fresh parsley
1 lb (500 g) light Ricotta or Cottage cheese
1 egg
3/4 cup (175 mL) shredded part-skim Mozzarella cheese
1 pkg (300 g) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained (optional)

Cook lasagne noodles according to package directions.

Heat oil in a large pot set over medium heat; sauté onion and garlic until tender. Add beef; cook until browned. Drain off fat. Stir in pasta sauce and parsley; simmer for 5 minutes.

Combine Ricotta cheese with spinach and egg.

Spread ¼ sauce in 3 L (13 in. x 9 in.) baking dish. Top with 3 noodles, another ¼ sauce and 3 more noodles. Then spread cheese mixture over noodles. Top with 3 more noodles and ¼ sauce; cover with remaining 3 noodles and sauce. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese.

Cover and bake in preheated 180°C (350°F) oven for 40-45 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
