1 stick of butter
1 c. Brown sugar
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
6-8" of air-popped popcorn in a large brown paper grocery bag (more popcorn means less sweet) Peanuts can also be included in with the popcorn or
Instead of popcorn substitute Corn and Rice Chex, 20-25 oz. is approximately the right amount or
3 bags (5oz) Kroger extreme butter corn puff poppers
1/2 tsp. baking soda

In a large 8 c. glass bowl or measuring cup, melt the butter in the microwave. Add the sugar, corn syrup and salt; mix and microwave on high 1 1/2 minutes. Rotate 1/2 turn and cook on high 2 more minutes. Take out and quickly add baking soda and mix well. Quickly pour over popcorn or cereal in brown paper bag and stir with a long wooden spoon. Roll down top of bag to fit in microwave and cook on high 1 1/2 minutes, take out and shake bag, cook 1 1/2 minutes more and shake again. Open bag and let cool (will be very hot). Pour into a bowl and break into pieces. If your microwave is more or less wattage than 1100, adjust time up or down accordingly.
