Cream:
1 stick butter and
1 cup sugar
until light and fluffy. Beat in:
4 eggs
one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift:
1 1/4 cup cake flour
3/4 t. baking soda
Add:
1 1-lb can Hershey syrup (1 ½ cup) alternately with flour mixture to butter mixture. Add:
1t. vanilla
Pour into 13x9x2" cake pan. Sprinkle with:
¾ cup chopped walnuts
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes or until done.
