4 c. walnut halves
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Heat nuts in shallow pan at 350º for 10-12 minutes. Stir frequently. Remove from oven. Meanwhilecook sugar, water, cinnamon and salt to soft ball stage (235º on candy themometer) without stiring. (it takes a LONG time to get past boilingto 235º) Remove from heat Nd add vanilla. Blend. Add nuts and stir gently until coated and creamy. Place in buttered pan to cool. Separate as they cool. Store in airtight container.
