5 oz butter
3/4 cup sugar
4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
7 egg yolks
1/2 cup ground almonds
1/2 cup biscuit crumbs
6 egg whites
melted semi-sweet chocolate
almonds

Directions:
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350º Fahrenheit
2) Melt chocolate in a double boiler
3) Once the chocolate is melted, beat in the butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy
4) Add egg yolks one at a time and mix thoroughly
5) Add almonds, biscuit crumbs, and well-beaten egg whites
6) Pour mixture into buttered and floured Rehrücken form or loaf pan.
7) Bake until toothpick comes out clean.
8) Let it cool slightly before turning it over on rack
9) Melt additional semi-sweet chocolate in a double boiler
9) Cover the cake with the melted chocolate and decorate with almonds (like a porcupine).

Personal Notes:
This is affectionately dubbed the "Porcupine Cake" because you stick the almonds into the cake so that it resembles short spikes. Hence, porcupine.
