2-4 lb brisket
1 ½ cu Ketchup
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. + 1 tsp liquid hickory smoke
1 small onion slice/ chopped
1 can beef broth
1 pkg Lipton Onion Dry Soup Mix
Salt and pepper
Garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Place brisket (fat side up) in baking dish.
On top pour a can beef broth with 1 teaspoon hickory liquid smoke flavoring and 1 pkg. onion soup or beef and onion soup mix.

Bake brisket covered at 400 for ½ hour.
Add sliced onions on top. Recover.
Then turn down to 200 and bake 4 hours. Simmer sauce for 1 hour.
Put rest of ingredient in saucepan and simmer on stove top on very low for 1 hour. Add more sugar or ketchup to your taste.
Slice beef and pour on sauce. Bake till for 30 min to 1 hourş
