M&M Cookies Recipe

1 c. Crisco shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. M&M plain candies (3/4 lb. pkg)
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat overn to 375.
Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Add dry ingredients gradually to creamed mixture.
Mix well.
Stir in 1/2 cup canides. Reserve remaining candies for decorations.
Drop by teaspoonsful on ungreased baking sheet.
Decorate tops with remaining candies.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

**Note: After baking, some of the candy may be slightly cracked, this adds texture and interest to your cookies. Still the same delightful flavor!
