2 C. sugar
1 C. light corn syrup
2 1/2 C. butter or margarine
2 1/2 C. raw peanuts
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cook over medium high heat to boiling, stirring. Cook over medium low heat, stirring occasionally until thermometer registers 275º - soft crack stage. Stir in nuts, continue cooking over medium low heat until thermometer reaches 295º - hard crack stage. Remove thermometer. Quickly sprinkle baking soda over mixture, stirring constantly. Immediately pour mixture onto prepared baking sheets.
