10 small deer steaks
Flour
Cooking oil
Salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Tenderize steaks with a knife, leaving small cuts on meat. Dredge steaks in flour, brown and cook in fry pan. (don't cook it dry) When meat is browned, take meat out of pan, drain oil out of pan, leaving flour dripping in pan. Scrape the browned dripping, putting it into a small bowl. Add water to saved drippings, making a gravy rue. Return mixture to fry pan, mixing it with any drippings left in pan. Add water to pan to make gravy. Put meat back into the gravy mixture, bring to a boil and turn heat to simmer. Meat will become tender in pan, Add water, or flour to thicken, or thin gravy. Season with salt & pepper and serve over fried potatoes with Indian oven bread.
