6-8 average-size Granny Smith Apples (peeled & sliced)
1-1/4 cups Sugar
3 tbsp Flour
2 tsp Cinnamon
2 dashes Nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter or margarine
2 pie shells

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400

Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg in bowl. Stir into apples.
Dump in pie shell, scraping bowl to get all the sugar/flour mixture.
Add 2 tbsp butter or margarine (distribute around pie).
Add top crust. Rub a small amount of milk on the crust. Cut slits in crust with knife and/or make holes with fork. Sprinkle a small amount of cinnamon & sugar (combined) on the crust.
Place pie in oven with foil or cookies sheet on lower shelf. Also, lay a sheet of foil on top of pie (do not fold over crust) - this step is optional.
After baking for approximately 40 minutes, remove foil from top of pie. Bake approximately 60 minutes total (or as desired).
