1 box penne pasta
8 strips bacon
3 T butter
4 cloves garlic
4T flour
2 cups cream
2 cups grated cheese (extra sharp cheddar)
white truffle oil
breadcrumbs
salt & pepper
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Boil pasta according to directions on box. Cook bacon while water is boiling and set aside. In a small sauce pan, saute garlic in butter. Add flour to create a roux. Cook for 2 minutes. Slowly add cream while constant stirring. Cook for two minutes. Add cheese while stirring. Place the penne pasta in a 11 x 7 baking dish. pour off any excess oil without losing any of the cream. Pour cream sauce over pasta. stir to mix. Crumple bacon and stir to mix. splash a generous amount of truffle oil over the entire dish and stir it into the pasta. Top with breadcrumbs and salt and pepper. Cook at 350º for 30 minutes. Let cool and serve.
