Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1.5 – 2 lbs ground beef
1 onion
6 – 7 medium sized potatoes
Water - as desired
Salt & Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Use fairly large frying pan. Slice potatoes slightly thick, then brown ground beef with onions. When beef is browned (not cooked dry) drain grease and add potato slices. Season with salt and pepper and allow potatoes to fry for a few minutes. Do not cook potatoes thoroughly. Add only enough water to cover the mixture, cover the pan and let it come to a boil, turning heat down to simmer. Keep a cover on the mixture and allow the potatoes to soften enough to add flavor. Stir & check mixture now and then, adding small amounts of water depending on how soupy you desire the dish to be

Serve with Indian oven bread.

Personal Notes:
Old Grandma would cook this dish for us when we visited her. Be sure to serve hot Indian oven bread & butter with this beef & potato mixture.
