3 onion, peeled and sliced into rings
3 apples, cored and sliced into rings
3 Tblsp butter
3 Tblsp brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter in a large frying pan. Saute the onions for 5 minutes or until softened.
Add the apples and mix together with the onions.
Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top.
Cover with a lid and simmer for 15 minutes or until the apples have softened.
Mix together once more time and serve warm.

Apples and onions are an unlikely combination for this side dish. Onions become sweet when cooked so watch carefully for burning.
