1 small onion,sliced
2 tab butter
1 tab flour
1 can chicken broth
10 to12 oz fresh asparagus
1 cup half and half (I use dry milk)
Salt, nutmeg, and white pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion in butter in a 2 or 3 quart pan until soft but not browned. Stir in flour until bubbly, slowly add broth,stirring constantly to keep from lumping and bring to a boil. Add asparagus and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes.blend in blender until smooth. Add half and half and seasoning and serve.
