2 lb boneless chuck
1/2 tea salt 1/4 tea black pepper
4 tbs olive oil
1 large onion,chopped
5 stalks celery
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1tea basil
1 1/2 tea italian seasoning
1/4 cup barley
2 medium potatoes, diced
2 large carrots,diced8 to 12 cupswater
1 cup cabbage, chopped
1 can cannollini beans
2/3 cup macaroni
1 small can tomato paste
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Rub chuck with salt and pepper and brown in 2 tbs olive oil over medium high heat. When browned add 8 to 12 cups of water .Cook covered over low heat until tender.Remove meat from liquid. and add vegetables and seasoning. Cook until tender.Add1 can of canelloni beans and macaroni and a can of tomato paste. salt and pepper to taste.
