6 c. sliced peaches
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. granulated sugar
2 T. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Dough:
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 T. melted butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar, divided
2/3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Place peaches in 2 quart baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over peaches and toss slightly to coat. Set aside.

Dough: Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Mix sugar and shortening until well blended and fluffy. Add milk, margarine, cinnamon and nutmeg and blend. Add flour mixture and blend. Pour over top of the peaches and bake until golden brown.
