1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 bag chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together and sift twice flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add nuts and mix well. Set aside. Melt butter; add brown sugar and mix well. Cool slightly. Add slightly beaten egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture a small amount at a time, mixing after each addition. Spread in a greased 9x 9 x 2" pan. Sprinkle 1/2 package semi-sweet chocolate chips over mixture. Bake in moderate oven for 20-25 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool in pan and cut.
