1 c sugar
1 tbsp butter
3 eggs beaten
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 c sifted flour
1 c maraschino cherries
1/4 lb sweet chocolate bars
2 c nuts
1 c dates (or can figs)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add to butter mixture. Cut cherries, chocolate, nuts, and dates into small pieces; fold into mixture. Pour into a lightly greased loaf pan and bake a 350ºF for 1 1/4 hours.
