4 lLg. Chicken Breast w/skin
2 qts. Water
4 Cans Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits
1/2 Stick Real Butter
1 Medium onnion, chopped
Salt & Pepper
Garlic Powder (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Boil chicken and onion in water until done, about 1 hr. Remove chicken and allow cooling. While broth is boiling add butter. Continue to cook on medium-high heat. Pinch off small pieces of biscuits and drop into broth. (you should pinch off 4-5 pieces from each biscuit) Cut up chicken and add to broth. Cook about 20-30 minutes. Dumplings should not be doughy.

Note: You may also cook chicken in crock-pot all day and the broth is ready for the dumplings when you get home, you just transfer broth into pot and drop dumplings.

These aren’t grandma’s dumplings, Grandma Mae’s anyway. This was my Grandma Lou’s recipe but has turned out to be a Shannon family favorite. They are delicious and so easy to make .When making them for the Shannon family I quadruple the recipe and use 2 whole chickens….that’s a lot of dumplings!
