2/3 cup milk
1 1/3 cup sifted flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the eggs and add milk. Sift the flour, salt, sugar and baking powder and baking soda together. To this add the eggs and milk and beat until smooth.

Holding finger over the bottom of the funnel, pour some batter into the funnel. Drop the batter into hot, deep fat (375 degrees) swirling it into circles from the center out. Each cake should be about six inches in diameter. Fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towel and serve warm with powdered sugar or molasses.

Funnel should have a 5/8" opening. Deep electric fry pans can be used as well and deep iron pots.
