Dough
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
1 cup crisco
add milk until moist enough to roll out

6 apples cored and cut in 1/2 (12 dumplings)

For Syrup
2 1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cup water
1/3 tsp cinamon
2 T oleo/margarine

Directions:

Pre heat oven to 400º

Mix and roll out dough. Cut into squares, and place a cored ½ apple in the middle of each square. Dab ¼ T margarine or butter in middle of apple, sprinkle a little cinnamon and 1/2 t sugar over each. Fold dough square around apple and ‘squish it together’ to make round ball. (A mini apple pie)

Bake at 400 º for 10 min. Turn heat down to 375º 25-30 min.

For Syrup
Boil water and sugar and add to Dumplings after they have baked for 20 min.
