1 Pound Hamburger, ground round, or ground chuck
1 Egg
1/3 cup Milk
1 cup (4 Oz.) shredded cheddar or Colby jack cheese
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 TSR salt (optional)

Topping:
2/3 cup Catsup or Ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp prepared yellow mustard

Directions:

Mix all meatloaf ingredients in a large bowl until well blended. Form into 1/4 pound (fist size) oval 'loaves' and place in an appropriate sized baking dish in close proximity to each other but not touching.

Spoon prepared topping evenly until all exposed areas of loaves are covered.

Bake uncovered in a pre-heated 350º oven for 45-60 minutes.

Serve whole as a main dish.

We usually triple this recipe to feed 6-8 people. It has become a favorite dish at the Jensen's, not only for at home, but also is a great meal to prepare for others when providing a meal as it can be prepared in advance and travels well.
