2 Packets of Yeast
1/2 C. Lukewarm Water
1 tsp Sugar
1/3 C. Spry
2 T. Sugar
1 T. Salt
2 C. Scalded Milk
1-3/4 C. Water
11-12 C.

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble yeast into a small bowl. Add lukewarm water and sugar and set in a warm place until it becomes light and spongy (about 15 mins).

Combine spry, sugar and salt in a large bowl and add scalded milk and water. Stir until spry is melted and cool until lukewarm. Add yeast mixture.

Add flour gradually, mixing very thoroughly until a stiff dough is formed. Knead dough on floured board until smooth. Place in spry coated bowl. Brush dough with spry, cover and let rise in warm place until it doubles in bulk (about 2 hours).

Shape dough into loaves and place in spry coated bread pans. Let rise until doubles in bulk again (about 1 hour).

Bake in hot oven 425º for 15 minutes and then reduce the temperature to moderate 375º and bake 30 minutes longer.
