1 ¾ cup sugar
1 cup Crisco
3 eggs
1 teaspoon soda
3 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup of sour milk (1 teaspoon of vinegar into milk)
Approximately 6 cups flour and leave slightly sticky
Sprinkle a little nutmeg in it
Roll out and cut circles.

Date Filling:
4 cups chopped dates
1 cup sugar
2 cups water

Directions:
Make date filling and place on side until cook. Dad likes pregnant cookes; therefore, twice filling for amount of cookies. .
