Preheat oven, and turn to broil.

Arrange washed peppers on shallow cookie sheet or pan. Broil peppers until their skin is darkened and blistered. Keep turning them. After broiling is done put he peppers in the bowl to cool. Scrape skin with knife or your fingers. Cut in half and discard stem, core and seeds. If desired, cut peppers in strips.

These freeze beautifully.
