1 c melted lard
1/2 c butter melted
3 c molasses
10 tbsp boiling water
7 1/2 c flour
4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the lard, butter, molasses and boiling water until well blended. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger and cinnamon and then add to the wet ingredients until well combined. Drop by tbsp on greased baking sheets and bake in a 400 degree oven 8 - 10 minutes or until leaving a slight indent when pressed with finger. Cool on rack.
