2 slices bacon
1 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced

1 28 ounce can tomatoes, chopped
1 12-ounce can of beer
1 Tablespoon bottled hot pepper sauce
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1 15-1/2 ounce can red kidney beans, drained
1/2 cup pimiento-stuffed olives, halved crosswise
1/2 cup raisins
1 square (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate, cut into pieces

Directions:

In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, cook bacon slices till crisp. Remove, drain, and crumble bacon, reserving drippings in saucepan. Set bacon aside.
Cook ground beef, onion, celery, and garlic in drippings until beef is brown and onion is tender; do not drain.

Stir UNDRAINED tomatoes, beer, bottled hot pepper sauce, chili powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, about 1 hour or to desired consistency, stirring occasionally.

Stir in beans, olives, raisins, and chocolate. Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes more or until chocolate is melted and mixture is heated through. Garnish with reserved crumbled bacon.
