3/4 c. butter
3 1/2 c. chocolate chips
3-4 extra large eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. pure vanilla
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. (5oz.) chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 c. heavy cream

Directions:

Grease bottom and sides of a 9" tart pan with removable sides or spring form pan.
In medium size bowl, melt butter and 2 cups chocolate chips in microwave. Stir until chips are melted. Set aside to cool completely.
In another bowl, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla about 3 minutes until light and fluffy. Add cooled chocolate mixture.
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, 1 cup chocolate chips, and nuts. Fold flour mixture into the batter until combined.
Pour into pan and bake 35-40 minutes at 350º. The top may puff up and crack, but inside will be very soft.
Cool Torte on cooling rack to room temperature. Remove sides of pan carefully and put onto nice serving plate.
Heat cream and remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Stir to combine. Drizzle over cooled tart.
Cut into small slices and serve with or without whipped cream.©
