2 (15-oz.) cans of sliced peaches
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Drain one can of peaches; reserve the syrup from the other can. Place the butter in a 9x12 inch oven proof baking dish. Heat the butter in the oven until it is melted. In a medium bowl, mix the flour and sugar. Stir in the milk and reserved syrup. Carefully remove the baking dish from the oven and pour the batter over the melted butter. Arrange the peaches over the batter. Bake for 1 hour. The cobbler is done when the batter rises around the peaches and the crust is a thick, golden brown. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
