Pie Crust:
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup butter flavour shortening
1/4 cup cold water



Filling:
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup corn syrup (light or dark, depending on preference)
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
raisins or walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Blend flour, salt and shortening with pastry blender until fine. Add the cold water and mix until ball forms. Do not overmix. Chill in fridge for 1 hour minimum. Roll out dough and cut, pinch cutouts into muffin tins. Add a teaspoon of raisins, walnuts or both to the bottom of each tin.

Melt butter. Blend all ingredients except egg. Beat egg and add last. Pour the batter over nuts/raisins. Only fill 1/2 way or they bubble over when baking.
Bake at 425º for 25 mins.
