2 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cups milk
1 tsp. salt
1/3 cup Crisco

Directions:
Directions:
Mix four, baking powder and salt. With pastry blender, or fork cut Crisco until mixture looks like coarse meal. Add milk and stir just enough to hold dough together. Place on a lightly floured surface and knead lightly; roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured biscuit cutter and place on a ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 425º for 12-15 minutes until desired brownness.

For "Orange Tea Biscuits" Combine 1 grated orange peel, 2 tbsp. orange juice and 1/3 cup sugar. Brush on biscuits before you bake them.
