3 - 4 apples (depending on how much you want to make)

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup uncooked oats (I use "Quick Cooking")
1/2 heaping cup of flour
dash of salt
1/2 stick of butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare apples by peeling, slicing, and placing in a shallow baking dish. If using tart apples, you can sprinkle a little white sugar over them.

Blend rest of the ingredients with a fork or pastry cutter and sprinkle evenly over the apples.

Bake at 350º for 30 - 40 minutes or until golden brown on top and apples are tender.

Other fruits can be substituted for the apples.
