Ingredients for sauce:
3 tbsp olive oil 1 medium onion 1 tbsp sugar
2 garlic cloves Salt & pepper 2 cans(28oz) tomato puree
1.2 tsp Italian seasoning 1/8 red bell pepper 1 stalk celery(chopped fine)
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste 1 (15 oz) can Hunt's pasta sauce(Four Cheese)
1/3 lb. hot Italian sausage 1/2 c red wine
Ingredients for meatballs:
2lbs ground beef 1lb. ground pork 3/4 c seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese Salt & pepper 1/2 c milk
1/2 tsp each garlic & onion powder 2 eggs

SAUCE DIRECTIONS: Heat olive oil to cover bottom of pan. Add chopped onion, garlic, bell pepper, celery and hot Ital sausage and cook until browned. Add tomato paste and mix well, add tomato puree and Hunt's pasta sauce. Simmer 10 - 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour
MEATBALL DIRECTIONS: In the meantime in a large bowl put in the ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, cheese, salt & pepper, garlic and onion powder, milk and eggs.
Mix together thoroughly and shape into balls and put into frying pan on medium heat and brown on both sides of the balls. When browned,put into the sauce and when all the balls are in the sauce, then simmer for another hour. Cook your favorite pasta and serve.
