Directions:
Butter a pan at least 4 X 4 to pour fudge into. (Size does not matter)
Combine sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, salt, & milk in a 2 qt. pan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until all is melted.
Keep cooking at a low boil, stirring occasionally, until a small amount of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped into a bowl of cold water.
Remove from heat. Add butter. Stir. Allow to cool. Stir occasionally until liquid begins to thicken. Add vanilla.
Beat vigorously and continuously for 5- 15 minutes with a wooden spoon until candy is thick and no longer glossy. Fudge will hold it's shape when dropped from the spoon into the pan. QUICKLY spread into the buttered pan. Shape and smooth into a loaf. Allow to cool. Cut into squares. EAT!

Personal Notes:
My mom made this fudge when we did not have any coco. My mom called this Penulche, (Pen- ul- key) so that is what I called it. I made this for the kids when we lived in IN. Internet research says it is called Penuche. We will call it Pen- ul- key!
