1/2 cup butter & 1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar & 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 tbl water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups sifted flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt

solid chocolate mint wafer
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the butter & shortening. Add the sugar and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly.
Add eggs, unbeaten, water and vanilla. Mix well
Blend in sifted flour, soda, and salt. Chill for 2 hours.

Enclose a chocolate mint wafer in tsp of dough.

Bake at 375o 10 - 12 min.

I first made these cookies when I was about 12 years old.......a very loooooong time ago.
The recipe first came from a box of chocolates called Rockway Mint Wafers
