1 c shortening
1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c flour
1 c nut pieces
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 c rolled oats
1 tsp vanilla
16 oz pkg chocolate chips.

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º.
Blend shortening and sugar together, add eggs and beat until light and fluffy.
Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
Add remaining ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 15 min.
Cool and store in airtight container.
