| Fireman's BBQ Sauce Recipe

      | Ingredients:   | Ingredients:  2 eggs1 ˝ cup Wesson vegetable oil
 2 tablespoons poultry seasoning
 1 teaspoon pepper
 2/3 cup of salt
 1 quart real APPLE CIDER Vinegar

      | Directions: | Directions:Beat eggsAdd oil and beat
 Add seasonings and salt, stir
 Add vinegar, stir thoroughly
 
 Best if made a couple hours ahead and refrigerated.  Stir each time before basting chicken during barbecuing.
 
 This is not a marinade.  The high salt content will soak into the meat and make it Yuk salty if used as such!

                Notes: This recipe originally came from the Tioga County PA USP Association of Letter Carriers.  When Grandpa Durwood was a letter carrier (mailman) in PA the association would have a barbecue every year at the old fire station in Lawrenceville, PA – (it is under a lake now) It was a huge potluck, probably at least 50 families would attend.  Everyone brought a dish to pass, and the guys barbecued a ton of chicken halves using this sauce – a family favorite.  We kids would spend our time running around in the adjacent farmer’s cornfield playing hide and seek – I am sure he appreciated that!
