1/2 C. butter
1/2 C. sugar
1 egg yolk - beaten
1 C. flour
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. vanilla
1/2 C. chopped nuts
Jam of your choice

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325º
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk, flour, salt and vanilla. Beat til mixed.
Roll dough into cookie size balls. Dip in beaten egg white then roll in chopped nuts.
Place on cookie sheet and make an indentation in center. After 10 minutes, press indentation again and return to oven til golden.
Cool and add jam to center of cookie. I think Bachi used to use either raspberry or blackberry jam.
